My wife (girlfriend at the time) got a job in clothing retail when Miami Vice was out.
She worked at Silverman's and decided that my polo shirt/button down/club tie traditional sense of style was done. She had me in pink pants and a light blue collarless shirt and a white blazer almost immediately. I did not, however, have Don Johnson's looks, vibe, car, boat, or money. But I looked good. Oddly enough, I wore that outfit for the first time 40 years ago this weekend (or very close to it) at the NIFA Natinals awards banquet. NIFA always holds nationals the 2nd or 3rd week of May, so it would have been this weekend or next. My team mates alternated between laughter and jealousy, but it was a hit with the (few) female pilots at the meet. Previous Message was thinking about the movie swingers today and remembered how i went out and bought a chain wallet after i watched it. i don't think it lasted long
