Will be in LA next weekend for a family event. Event is Saturday evening at 7, and we’ll have all day Saturday free before the event. Trying to decide what to do and have never done the whole Griffith Observatory experience.

Wondering a) if it’s worthwhile, and b) how much time we should allow on a Saturday (plus factoring in Memorial Day weekend).

We’re actually staying way South in Costa Mesa near the John Wayne airport, so it will be a hike. Would want to get back to the hotel by mid afternoon to get ready for evening.

Any thoughts/advice welcome!
