He was driving through an intersection that was green and a woman, turning left, hit his car. Spun out and sustained some soft tissue neck injury from airbags. Car totaled and woman was ticketed/at fault.
He did see a doctor a couple times, xrays and physical therapy. Some stiffness continues but better
Well, he only had liability insurance, but she was covered. Our insurance (Country) says since he only had liability they won't help settle with the other woman's insurance (National General) and we're on our own.
National General gave us a shitty amount (below low end on KBB) and injury claim for only $1500 and $5000 held for any future claims.
I tried to call the agent on the claim for multiple times a day for the past 2 weeks and never can get him and no call back. All I get is voice mail. All I want is a small adjustment in the amount awarded for cost of repairs/service done in the past 2 months prior to the accident and the cost for rental vehicle that was incurred.
I'm nearing the point of getting an accident lawyer if needed. Should I proceed? Should I wait and see what they do for me a bit longer? May try to ask my insurance to please handle it as I have 3 cars fully covered and home insurance with them.
Just really frustrating that this point and I don't have time between patients to do this
