Yeah, unusual but I've seen it. *
Previous Message We finish the 12th hole and come around the corner to find a new twosome in front of us on the 13th tee. We had been following a foursome all day. The 13th tee is pretty close to the clubhouse and the tenth tee, so I figured they accidentally went to the wrong tee. We rolled up and I asked “were you guys looking for the 10th tee?” “No, we stopped for lunch and a beer.” “Ok, sure, but this is hole 13 and we’ve been following a foursome all day.” “Yeah we stopped after 12 and would have been a few holes further by now.” “Ooohkay.” We were having a great time and we just let it go. But I’ve been playing for a long time and have never seen someone stop after 12 to eat lunch and then just jump back on between groups. Seemed odd to our group, but maybe it’s us?

- You either stop at the turn or you don’t stop at all. And if you stop, my experience is that - voiceofreason May 19, 2026, 9:17:58
