Formulaic, and infuriatingly regressive despite the thin veneer of wokeness that comes with putting Mindy Kaling's name on it. Just the worst assembly-line "comedy" with nothing interesting to say.

I will say there were a few good lines that seemed to have been left in by mistake, and the performances are generally pretty good.

I can't figure out if I know Ella Hunt from something else, or if she just looks like an amalgamation of every scrappy-but-secretly-hot brunette from comedies like this. Nothing on her IMDB page looks familiar, so it could be the latter.
