Just found out I have melanoma skin cancer.
Saw a mole on my arm that I ignored. My fiancée insisted I get it looked at and I'm glad I did.
Early this week had an excision of the lesion and sent to pathology.
Now getting set up for more surgery and testing to make sure hasn't spread. Fingers crossed that it's only superficial without extension below the skin.
If you're like me and grew up in the 70s then you spent a lot of time outdoors with no sun block. Didn't even know what that was until college. Please get yourself checked as it's much more manageable early.
Oh! And Fuck Cancer!
