If I was the opposing coach my suggestion would be to say my kids and their parents are of different faiths which may differ from yours, and I don't have their permission to do this, so we're not. (These types are big on the parents having absolute authority over their kids' stuff and would flip out if someone tried to do it to them with a different faith.)
