The Jackson lake lodge has a nice outdoor bar (it’s all ages)

The hike up cascade canyon to lake solitude is one of my favorite day hikes I’ve done. Delta lake is nice too but was inundated with people when I went. I would think backcountry permits may be hard unless there are some walk ups available. I just got back from South Dakota, devils tower and North Dakota (teddy Roosevelt NP and presidential library), so if he heads that way I can send more recs. We stayed at the koa at the base of devils tower and it was a great location. If he swings back down to CO I have more recs too.
