Guys that seem reasonable to be dealt in order of my desire for the Cubs to acquire them

Tarik Skubal- doubt the Cubs land him even if they should be super aggressive imo

Casey Mize- Cubs have plants in Detroit in FO. Scott and Kyle give us both Skubal and Mize. Mize has been great

Reid Detmers-Seems like the most likely move with his control left. Very good pitcher imo. Bring him home to Illinois

Joe Ryan-Only two back but kind of behind the eight ball. Not sure they’ll move him but they sold hard last year and if they do Cubs would obviously be interested with control

Peter Lambert- They’re only two back so maybe they won’t trade but they aren’t very good and most likely won’t make the playoffs. Lambert has been poor in the past but has been really good this year. Maybe flukish but he’s been good.

Andre Pallante-Seems highly unlikely the Cards would trade with the Cubs but they’re falling out and would be a stabilizing force with control.

Sandy Alcantara-Cubs have been rumored for years. They screwed up not completing Luzardo then tried for Cabrera and that hasn’t quite worked. I’m meh on Alcantara but he’s been better than last year.

Freddy Peralta-Hasn’t been that good this year but maybe getting him back with Craig and in the NL Central he can shove it on the Brewers. Would at least be fun possibly.

Taj Bradley- I had him on my list last year with the Rays and he ended up going to Minnesota. Not quite as high as last year but still decent with control.

Max Meyer- I don’t really think Miami moves him and he’s currently hurt but someone that could be interesting to take a chance with that still has years.

Clay Holmes-I don’t think he’s that great a pitcher but he’d really work well with the Cubs. He’s dominant ground ball ability with the Cubs infield defense would certainly play up.

Foster Griffin-Having a monster year. I feel like it’s a little bit flukish but he’s still decent. Not sure the Nats move him with his years of control left but he’s kind of found money for them. Already 31

Kevin Gausman-Kind of been my white whale for years. Now at the end of his career. Still ok pitcher but I’d hope for more. Considering the Cubs issues though would be an upgrade.
