Had lunch with a friend who told me her daughter’s best friend from high school (in Atlanta) was denied admission at UGA and is going to Georgetown. So someone who could get into a prestigious private school like Georgetown could not get into the University of Georgia as an in-state candidate. Presumably to make space for out-of-state students paying full freight.
