Doesn’t have the same distraction as taking out the phone. Higher friction of getting pics on social media means that there’s less pressure than taking a pic that dozens or hundreds of people are going to immediately see. Less ephemeral than a phone pic that’s going to vanish into a cloud of screen caps and other nonsense.
