said this before because bitching about TEs is a theme here.
TEs in college generally don't catch very many passes. last years Big Ten TE of the year averaged a whopping 40 yards receiving a game on about 3.5 catches. he did have a high number of TDs, so was probably used in the red zone. the other first team guy averaged about 32 yards a game with only 2 TD catches on the season in 14 games. One was a 1st Round Pick, the other was a 2nd round pick. TEs don't add that much value in college football.  Previous Message but maybe *this time* we were avoiding it week 1 to exploit it against Duke.
