Our rural subdivision was cut out of 20 acres of old growth timber. I have so many large trees that there were all of two spots on my almost 2 acres that the dish could be placed to get a clear view of a satellite for tv.
I'm certainly not against solar, but when the south side of my house is nearly constantly shaded and the west is shaded by 3 PM on a sunny July day, I'm probably not getting a payback on an install.

"they were in the neighborhood".
I had to tell him they need to update their computers because not only do we already have solar, but it's through their company (for over a year).
Well done, guys.

But I'm done.
Yesterday, I gave a polite "no thanks" but the guy decided to push through, so I firmly directed him to the sign which he claimed he didn't see. Why would I hire someone with no attention to detail?
Just now someone knocked to say they were painting my neighbor's house and just wanted to check in and see if I'm planning to paint. I told him we just had it done. There is paint literally peeling off the front porch so it's obvious we haven't. I think that caught him off guard. Yeah, that one's not in your little sales book, is it. Get off my porch.
Yeah, I'm an old man now. Fuck it.
