 Previous Message When things go to shit in the SEC, seeing the team be good is the livelihood of those rich donors so they pour endless money into buying out the coach and investing in the roster. Our fanbase strikes me more as a “show me success and then I’ll reward you by investing” fanbase. I get that last year was not as good as 2 years back.
I guess I am surprised that, with Whitmans help and the fun of the last couple of years, we haven’t raised money to compete. Is a football team roster just too damn big to raise that kind of money?
I’m also surprised that we haven’t made better hires. I assume that the office of the AD is involved, and they have generally been on point.
I guess I’m wondering if any of this is at Whitman’s feet - he’s been so good, I guess Im a little surprised
I have really enjoyed BB and hope they can turn it around. Lunney seemed very conservative with the play calling
