One lady called and complained that she didn't get a paper and when my mom asked me about it, I told her that I remembered putting the paper inside the front door. It turned out that the house had two front doors and I had put the paper in the wrong one. I had to ride my bike over there, get the paper from the wrong door and hand it to her at the right one. Geez.
She wasn't even the worst customer on their route. One lady wouldn't let M & J ride their bikes on her fancy driveway. They had to park in the street, walk up to the garage and put the paper through a slot so that it would land on a chair. M showed me how to angle the paper so that it would land on the floor. He said that if she gave me any grief, I should hold onto the paper by the corner and drop it one page at a time.
