I walked beans starting when I was 9 or 10, but that was just a few days in the summer. I also cared for a flock of sheep starting at that age. Payday for that came twice a year, selling lambs in the summer and wool in the spring. That was also my first experience with government welfare, my wool subsidy check.
First job getting a paycheck from an organization was at a UI print shop in the summer after my freshman year.
