Natural gas appliance ban in CA?

What am I missing, I saw in my news feed that residential and commercial natural gas appliances are suppose to be replaced with electric. IMHO sucks to cook/bake with electric appliances.

Induction is pretty good. Baking with gas is terrible. Roasting with gas is good. *

Gas cooktop / range or GTFO for me. We just went convection gas oven and top. *
