Yeah, in addition to the light rail not serving us Archived Message

they keep taking the good busses away and replacing them with crappy bus lines. That QFC is awful and you are a bad person for liking it. Previous Message they eliminated an express bus that I could take downtown, and now the bus that picks up near my place takes like twice as long. And I love that QFC. I know exactly where everything is, I can get in and out in no time. And I can walk there. Previous Message Also, can we talk about how bad the Wallyhood QFC is? It's just horrible. Previous Message Previous Message https://www.quora.com/What-do-you-think-of-Seattles-light-rail-system It seems like a bit of a joke, really. I mean, it's better than not having it, but it hardly constitutes much of a transit system, much less a "mass transit system." I don't think I know anyone in Seattle that stopped driving because it exists—I'm sure there are some such people, but I bet there are not many. It is slightly faster than walking, it shakes a lot, the coverage is poor, the frequency is not great, and it is consequently underutilised. Previous Message Previous Message Previous Message Previous Message Previous Message in order to achieve what they did. It could take us 80, or 120, but we could do it. Previous Message We have 70 years of post WWII development to undo. How are you going to put that genie back in the bottle? Most places barely have any public transit at all. How do you account for that? Previous Message Previous Message you can force people out of their cars by making it really difficult to park and drive, but it's not going to make their lives better, and they will resent you for it. Previous Message walkable, bikable, public transitable solutions. Previous Message Previous Message Exceptions would be any restaurant within a quarter mile of an on/off ramp. No reason for the McDonald's at Damen & Chicago or Logan & Milwaukee to have a drive thru. Related, it should be illegal for drive thru lines to spill out onto public roads.
