As the only automatic qualification points these guys could get would be at majors. PGA Tour guys would get them at most regular tour events. So that essentially takes them out of the first six spots. As for Captain’s selections, you could argue if they just play these events and majors that they haven’t played enough to get picked.

Only really bummed about DJ. Meh about the amateurs and the euros are mostly has beens. Gooch is a surprise too.

This will be interesting to watch how the PGA reacts. Assuming if these guys play in a LIV event they’ll be suspended and then the litigation will begin.
