I liked the approach Bill Simmons took in his book Archived Message Posted by DT on June 9, 2022, 7:59:18, in reply to "Is Steph Curry the best player in nba history?" Ranking players in tiers. His top tier was pantheon guys, and I believe he had 12 at the time: Wilt Kareem Jordan Magic Bird Big O Jerry West Russell Hakeem Shaq Kobe Tim Duncan Since then, Lebron obviously moved up into that group. But I don’t think Steph is quite at that level. I’d put him a step down in the top 25-ish range (along with Durant), with guys like Moses Malone, Stockton, Isaiah, Dr. J, Elgin Baylor. MVP caliber guys who may have a couple of rings but weren’t quite at the level of the all time greats who dominated the league for extended periods of time.
