What do you think would be the consequences of rewarding Russia for its aggression?
Putin was convinced NATO would not respond, and he had pretty good reason for thinking that. Biden has pulled the alliance together, no easy task. Because of that Ukraine has the capacity to resist this invasion. Had Russia succeeded (or if they do ultimately succeed) we would see mass killings in Ukraine, probably mass deportations. And Russia would control even more gas and oil than they do now, and more of the food supply. I'm sure that would work out just great.
