I hope it's nothing (and I didn't think much of it at the time of my annual blood tests), but my PCP is referring me to a urologist because my PSA score jumped by 0.83 over the past year. It's still in the normal range, but apparently, this raised concerns.

And of course, I have pretty significant health anxiety already, so I'm really nervous about the follow-up. Fun times.

Not saying it's likely to be your concern, but catching it easy is absolutely key so it's good to get regular testing.

I hope that you can get the urology appointment soon, so that you can get the info and act on it. It’s good that your PCP flagged the increase even though the PSA is still in the normal range. Chances are good that you’ll just need to do more regular check ins with the urologist or the PCP. And if something is out of the ordinary, chances are high it was caught very early, which we are very good at dealing with. I am
also a worry wart, to the point where I don’t always make the appointments I need to get the info, as I am scared of the results. Go see the urologist and take things from there. Keep us posted Mr. Googoo

I'm really hoping it's nothing but maybe an infection or something. Getting old isn't for the weak, and I've got some toughening up to do for sure.
