There are so many EVs being built the world over.
My neighbors to the north of me recently purchased a Lucid Air. I have to admit, nice car, looks nice, nice to ride in, very comfortable. They also have a dodge ram with dual wheels but has an entirely different function, it's a truck.
From what I gather they use the Lucid for local travel within 300 miles or so. I believe that it has a 600 mile range depending on terrain and personal driving needs.
Bottom line I don't see EVs going away, what I do see is EVs improving over time to become more efficient and affordable, even though there are affordable EVs that are currently available and very affordable however banned in the US as no US companies could possibly compete.
One group working on EV development in another country has come up with an innovative solution to charge times on the EV they are planning to build. Rather than charge the EV for let's say for an hour, you drive your vehicle into a refill station where an automated machine removes your near empty storage cell and replaces it with a fully charged cell, all within 5 minutes.
Novel idea there.
