But mainly it's just incredibly dull. I spent over a week in Lincoln at a convention back in the 90s. Stayed at the Cornhusker Hotel. Nice Holiday Inn kind of place with a decent bar, which is where all the convention goers frequented to stay out of the wind and 95 degree heat. I was weight training at the time. Years earlier I spent a day and night in Omaha. Had a good steak. Not special. And it wouldn't have been to our rube's liking. He prefers to supermarket shoe sole cut, extra well done.
