My father who has since passed away enlisted in the US army to remove NAZIs from existence. He landed on Omaha Beach under the codename of Operation Overlord on June 6th 1944 for the US Army 1st Division often called the Big Red 1, his mission was to suppress German Strongholds and push or kill the NAZIs back to Germany at all costs without taking any prisoners.
While my dad rarely spoke of his time during the war, I knew what he had to do to survive. He spent a good deal of time behind enemy lines. He became an NCO for merely surviving the invasion at Normandy where he pressed into Germany over a period of 16 months.
He disliked NAZIs more than anything in life, all the way to his death. He was laid to rest in the Golden Gate National Cemetery.
I myself don't like NAZIs either, and frankly I consider trump supporters as NAZIs.
Just saying
