I have also voted for some GOP candidates.
Governor Deukmejian was one. I liked him a lot. (I think you have said you didn't care for him).

Others were Reagan the first time, and H.W. the first time. Other lessor positions too, back in the day.

Highly doubtful it will ever happen again with today's GOP.
