Vessels Reported Hit
The Skylight: This Palau-flagged chemicals and oil products tanker was struck near the Musandam Peninsula (Oman). Reports indicate four crew members were injured, and the vessel was seen billowing thick black smoke.
The MKD Vyom: A Marshall Islands-flagged tanker carrying oil products was hit by an unknown projectile approximately 44–50 nautical miles north of Muscat, Oman. An engine room fire was reported but later brought under control.
Unidentified Tanker:
A third vessel was struck approximately 17 nautical miles northwest of Mina Saqr, UAE. The crew managed to extinguish a resulting fire and the ship intended to continue its voyage.
Over 200 tankers and cargo ships are currently anchored in the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf, unwilling to risk the passage.
