my feeling is that this year's arabica crop is of poor quality and certainly the cold temperatures and rains we had prior to this frost event will simply aggravate it.
the Arabica crop in Zona da Mata this year is a disaster
broca a lot of
sul de Minas some take it as reasonable but what I am seeing in terms of "good cup" standard that is being mailed for approval so far ALL being rejected.
Under this scenario: greatly reduced Good Cup, and if tight differentials prove it out, then the roasters will turn to the exchange certified coffees ( of which there are 0 pending grading) for brazil-sub supply. This will be a major game changer, to be sure.
