- Barchart has cocoa report but it is not deep enough;
- every week Reuters report port arrivals of cocoa (proxy for supply)
- quaterly there are 3 grind reports (proxies for demand) - US, EU, and Asia released by different bodies and on different dates (but roughly during 2-3 week of each new quarter).
- ICCO publishes cocoa balance sheet, always with huge lags and never under any system - it can be published 3 months after report date this time and 6 months after next time. A very unorganized department.
But worse of all is the fact that cocoa market is too small and can be easily cornered by large players and your fundamental analysis would be useless. This happened this year again - huge crop, growing carryover stock but price refuses to note this for last 3 months. A failed attempt to set 2,600 floor is also unnoticed. A difficult market to play.
