CoffeeNetwork (New York) Ė According to the latest survey from Safras & Mercado, as of August 20th, Brazilís 2019-2020 coffee crop has been 43% sold. Sales have been more advanced than last year when only 38% was sold by this time. It is also above the five-year average of 37% sold by this time.
Based on the firmís estimate of 58.9 million bags of total production, this would indicate that 25.09 million bags have been sold thus far.
Arabica sales have reached 42% of the crop, compared to 35% sold last year and 35% for the five-year average.
Sales for conilon have reached 43% of the crop, slightly below last year (44%), but above the average for period (42%).
