It did rain quite well in Sul de Minas, Mogiana for the last couple of days. Temps on the rise and that makes a perfect scenario for flowering. Not much to add in terms of weather.
As for quality Ė Huston we have a problem!!!!
But thatís only if you trade Specialty or Fine Cup. Other than that, we go by the flow and it is flowing quite well. Close to 3 mil bags shipped from Brazil in August. Thatís a lot of coffee.
Growers are feeling the punch. Cost of production, limited access to credit and abundant offer. Thatís not good, but not enough to hold this gigantic Vessel currently at full selling speed.
Unfortunately, only after growers or perhaps entire regions get kicked out of coffee business, thatís when we will start seeing some signs of price recovery (so called Coffee price cycles) Everybody knows, but we tend to forget quite easily. As long as we keep seeing abundant offer, combined with imminent global recession Ė low prices will remain intact.
