An air mass of polar origin advances through southern Brazil, with a high pressure center at 1023hPa. Even so, there is no forecast of frost formation for the coffee areas of Paraná, São Paulo and Minas Gerais in the coming days. For Londrina-PR the forecast is for minimum temperatures around 6 and 8oC, in Mococa-SP between 5 and 7oC, while in the coffee areas of Minas Gerais, the forecast for Varginha and Poços de Caldas is minimum temperatures between Friday and Saturday oscillating between 4 and 6oC. This is because the center of the rise moves quickly towards the ocean, then weakens. The rain should return irregularly to Paraná at the beginning of next week, but the majority areas of the Southeast still have dry weather.
Extended Forecast:
No major changes in the coming weeks. A next cold wave is expected for July 8 in northern Paraná and Alta Paulista. It is a system of high atmospheric pressure with 1027hPA that moves from the South quickly to the ocean, for now in a position unfavorable to frost. In the last simulations, the cold was less intense for this date, but it is still being monitored.
