this drought since March 2020 is an isolated fact, the harvest of arabica coffee for the year 2021 is already severely impaired, as rainfall was on average 50% less in the period from March to September in the regions of southern Minas and Mogiana, which it is the heart of Arabicos production. The coffee plantations start their production in 2021 even before the flowering that occurs in September and October 2020, in short, it is a whole physiological process of the plants, coffee is a perennial crop. I hope that the rains will return soon, as it is causing many ills for us Brazilians who live in the southeast. All of the surplus coffee produced by Brazil in 2020 will be used to offset the pungent harvest of 2021.
