Brazil 2021 Arabica-Coffee Output Will Fall to 31.2m Bags: Group

Nation’s arabica-coffee output seen falling from 49.9m bags in 2020, according to a statement from Montesanto Tavares, a group controlling trading companies Atlantica Coffee, Cafebras and Ally Coffee.
Brazil 2021 total coffee production will decline to 52.9m bags versus 68.2m
Robusta-coffee seen rising 17.8% to 21.67m bags
Group cites the lower-yielding half of a biennial cycle for the reduction
Estimate was done using data collected in coffee fields
NOTE: Montesanto Tavares also owns coffee farms in Minas Gerais and Bahia; one coffee bag weighs 60 kilograms (132 pounds)
