There is a truth that begins to be told, that it is a great loss of arabica coffee production in Brazil in 2021 . The harvest of arabicos for this harvest according to Atlantic/Ally is 31.20 million bags, however there is a group of researchers in Brazil who point to a harvest of arabicos of only 24 million bags. Of course there is a variance, an error rate, up or down. The great debate that we must do is: How to replace this loss of Brazilian Arabica coffee? Will the other mild producing origins increase their production? How is Colombia, Honduras, Ethiopia, Peru, Guatemala etc? Is there a strategic stock of coffee in importing countries that can replace this large Brazilian deficit? Then it is time to stop being denialist and start a healthy discussion to find solutions to the biggest production deficit in the history of coffee.
