Cecafe, the agency that brings together all coffee exporters in Brazil, announced exports for January 2021 totaling only 3.14 million bags, a decrease of 9.4% compared to January 2020. The month of January exported 28.28% less than the previous month, December 2020.
To get an idea of the magnitude, this represents 1,240,898 less bags of coffee, which is greater than Colombia's monthly coffee exports.
It is observed that the producing countries imported 199,428 bags of coffee, with a 51.3% growth in their imports from Brazil compared to January 2020, especially Colombia, which imported 113,014 bags of coffee.
