Actually, charts in Europe do not look good.

It went from +124,048 on 2/9 to +155,249 yesterday (2/10).

Numbers were declining for couple weeks but it seems to start rising again... in situation with almost entire EU under severe lockdown.
There is hardly possible to further tighten the lockdown and keep paying subsidies to affected businesses. People are becoming more and more self-oriented increasingly unwilling to self-restrict.

Also Europe has big difficulties to get enough vaccines.
UK got strong hold on EU-funded AstraZeneca and every other vaccine is even more difficult to get.
Some countries (incl. Germany) are so desperate that they even suggested manufacturing Sputnik vaccine under licence in Europe.

This is going to be very difficult year till Fall or so and who knows what kind of new virus appears later this year.
I would not overestimate the speed of normalization this year.
