J Ganes Consultng Brazil Coffee Crop Tour Update:
After a week revisiting many of the farms I went to two months ago, I was able to see that there was no miracle from the rains the past two months except to prevent further losses to the 2021/22 Arabica crop. Vegetative growth that was slowed can’t suddenly catch up.
Higher elevation farms didn’t suffer as badly but this accounts for only a small percentage of the total crop.
I am flying to Vitoria to spend the rest of this week to see the Robusta crop and see if recent dryness marred what otherwise would be an excellent crop.
The vídeo is from ibitiura de minas and my attempts at learning to pilot a drone.
