The perfect storm is now ready. Technicals point lower. Funds are adding more shorts on a daily basis when Fundamentals are strong. Besides that, there is a high correlation between the occurrence of droughts in Brazil with frost events. Can you imagine what could happen if just that type of alert message comes out of the media? Hedge funds are acting with extreme complacency and System traders using their algorithms going short are exposing themselves too much.
The world economy is in a recovery phase in 2021 and soon with the normalization, consumption will explode. With a better chance of inflation and muting action from the FED, investors will look for commodity markets with a prospect deficit, and certainly the coffee market will be a good one!
