Thanks again. Italy has been trending down for a couple weeks. Europe is about 4% fully vaccinated vs US at 18%. I suspect the next 2 months will see EU catch up to where US is today while the US gets further along. Regarding strains...well never know if a resistant strain shows up until it happens but so far data says vaccine effectiveness is lowered to 60-70% vs 90%+ on these new strains but if you catch it severity is dramatically reduced in nearly all cases. I thinkpolicy makers are in the process of switching their thinking from preventing all possible cases to let's get the vaccine rollout done and understand this disease is a permanent human condition like the flu.
