"In order to provide strategic data and information and to comply with the Agricultural Policy, instituted by Law No. 8,171 of 01/17/1991, Conab is responsible for surveying and evaluating Brazilian crops of grains, fibers, coffee and sugar cane. Through them, the Data Tables and the Crop Surveys and Assessment Bulletins are generated, which contain the evaluations by culture for the different units of the federation, which are composed of phytotechnical and economic analyzes, planted area, productivity, production, agricultural monitoring, climate forecasting, supply, demand and market analysis.
The working method follows a specific methodology, with the purpose of guaranteeing the reliability and consistency of the data and information. The Data Tables and Crop Surveys and Assessment Bulletins are produced with a view to the principles of timeliness, accessibility, continuity and transparency. The work related to the harvest of grains and fibers is carried out monthly, while for coffee and sugar cane it is published every four months."
"Brazilian Coffee Crop
In monitoring the coffee harvest, Conab relies on state partnerships with government agencies of the main producing states to estimate the national harvest. Based on this joint work, Conab produces the Coffee Crop Monitoring Bulletin. The collaboration of reliable and traditional institutions in studies on the coffee sector is a decisive factor for the quality and credibility of the information disclosed. The Bulletins are released every four months, totaling four publications per year."
