Re: Brazil's record export volume of 45.6 million bags of coffee in the 2020/21 harvest
I agree with you in parts, to increase production requires investments and that the weather collaborates. The excellent harvest of 2020, which resulted in this magnificent exports from Brazil, is the result of perfect weather in 2019, with abundant rainfall at the right time of the physiology of the coffee plant. The result was the largest coffee crop in the history of Brazil . The very serious problem is the bad weather in 2020 and 2021. The total Brazilian harvest in 2021 will be ridiculously small and the outlook for 2022 begins to get worrying, some say that in 2020 Brazil harvested 70 million, in 2022 its potential today is only 60 million. The lack of rain in 2021 is covering the entire coffee park in the Southeast region of Brazil, in the states of Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Espirito Santo, Parana, Bahia and Goias.
