Question might be is this a reduction of demand or just fewer exports caused by transportation problems. If the virus or lack of containers for shipping has lowered exports then I'd imagine that end users are drawing down their existing stocks. If so, then this lower export number might be just a temporary anomaly that will cause greater and more urgent demand when those stocks are depleted, no? In the so called "developed" or industrialized world a real lack of any desired item or food stuff is a situation not actually experienced for a few generations. People will be amazed by shortages. And then, of course, they will not analyse the problem but will instead demand to know who is to blame for their inconvenience.
