Combined robusta and arabica stockpiles in Vietnam total 514,000 tonnes, ComCo Trading founder Nhung Ly said at the Swiss Coffee Traders Association conference.
Stocks split between 240kt held by local suppliers, 214kt in bonded zone and 60kt held by farmers and middlemen
ComCo Trading estimates Vietnamese 2021/2022 harvest will yield 1.85m tonnes of coffee or 30.8m bags
“Space availability from vessels remains difficult to find, only 30% of port staff laborers are allowed to work on sight, creating delays”: Ly
NOTE: Backlog in exporting bumper 2020/2021 coffee crop from Vietnam is exacerbating a backwardation in ICE robusta futures spreads
