My analysis shows that historically there is a *very approximate* reduction of 5% of demand for each doubling of coffee prices. Compared to other commodities, that's extremely low! Demand for coffee is highly inelastic, which is why demand rationing to adjust for supply shocks is rare and requires very high price spikes.
