Colombia Coffee Production on Track to Slide in 2022: Federation

Production in 2022 may drop to 13m bags from 14m bags a year earlier after heavy rains damaged the crop a second year in row, Roberto Velez, CEO of Colombia’s National Federation of Coffee Growers, says during webinar organized by his group.
Says climate change indicates Colombian production may stay in downtrend and country is focusing on improving quality
Like for all countries, logistics are also affecting its exports while elevated freight costs and fertilizer cut into profits
