The light and dark segments indicate the innate duality of all things, besides the complementary opposition, responsible for the dynamics from which all phenomena of life and the its constant mutation. Although the Yang serves to designate heaven, masculine, day, heat or light and the Yin to designate earth, Feminine, night, cold or dark, nothing exists at all. Nothing it can be completely Yin or completely Yang, for each it has "seeds" of the opposite. The day does not exist without the night, the dark without the light or the heat without the cold and all the examples to infinity (which only exists by interactivity with the finite...).
