BOONE DNA Autosomal

I have just discovered a massive amount of DNA matches on Ancestry to the famous Daniel BOONE line, also related to General Dwight Eisenhower. I am wondering if anyone else has such matches and if anyone has proved a paper trail to this family from the Devon side? I would be connected through Devon not America I believe.

I understood that the Daniel Boone line went way back in America. All Colonial Americans go back to a very small founding population so they are related to each other in multiple different ways once you get back beyond about the 1800s. This is too far back to make conclusions from autosomal DNA because of the multiple relationships and the incompleteness of our family trees.

Y-DNA could be used to identify an origin in Devon. I don't yet have any male Boones from Devon in the Devon Project. There is a Boone DNA Project at Family Tree DNA:

My Y.DNA "matches" with many other Boone researchers.- Three Y.DNA 111, six Y.DNA 67, fifteen Y.DNA 37. - Seems every American want's to know if they are descended from Daniel Boone, rather than understand the whole Y-DNA picture. - I am R-CTS1751. - Would we expect to see at least some Boone researchers with a terminal SNP of R-CTS1751? - I note Daniel Boone's forbears resided close to a village where my Venn forbears lived (Payhembury), before moving to Bristol, then off to the "Colonies". - Of course, I do realise that any "connection", could be thousands of years back.

I don't know if Daniel Boone's origins in England have been confirmed. The Boone DNA Project really needs to try and recruit some Boones from the UK to see if any of them match.
