My father was orphaned in England, so I had family DNA tested via Ancestry and I have confirmed DNA matches to Prideaux in Devon (and his father's name on birth certificate is a Prideaux born in Devon). The Prideaux (from Barnstaple area) go back ~400 years. I would like to submit my brother's DNA to this project. Would he be eligible to join? If yes, which test, ie how many markers? I had one done years ago, when this was a new technology so I would redo it. I see his results are similar to the profiles I found on this site. Thanks in advance!

Hi Valerie
Your father would be most welcome to join the Devon DNA Project. I would recommend starting with a 37-marker Y-DNA test. This test is currently on sale.
Best wishes
