According to the NCP, poverty has been eliminated in China.
Yet, on Wikipedia it states that 14.1% of the population lives on less than $5.50 a day. Admittedly these are figures from 2019. But what has changed since then?

So, with a rough calculation, given that the population of China is 1.4 billion, that is nearly 200 million people living below the poverty line.

So I'd disagree that they have eliminated poverty.
But who believes anything the CCP say?
I'm not even going to go into the claims that China is a democracy. No one on this site would believe such a ridiculous claim.
